Thesis
Research in applied behavior analysis leads to the development of evidence-based interventions and expands our knowledge of treatments that make a socially significant difference. For the degree, students must conduct an experimental study or complete a systematic literature review using the PRISMA Model (Page et al., 2021; Moher et al., 2009) which increases our understanding of applied behavior analysis. Students complete three thesis courses in which they work on a thesis topic proposal for committee review, develop the methodology for the implementation of their thesis, implement the method of their accepted proposed thesis project, write their thesis report, create a presentation for their thesis, and participate in an oral defense of their project.
Practical Applications
An important learning outcome of the ABA program at 91重口 is to equip students with skills essential for professional practice. Experiential learning opportunities are embedded within courses in the form of Practical Application Assignments. These assignments are designed to provide students with hands-on experience and real-world application of the concepts and skills targeted in the academic courses. They aim to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, helping students develop a deeper understanding of how to apply what they've learned in real situations. Practical Application Assignments are specially designed to cultivate essential skills and prepare them to become effective behavior analysts in real-world settings.
