Purpose

This strategy exists to align the College’s photo and video efforts with our overarching communications goals, brand strategy, and content priorities. Our goal is to tell impactful, authentic stories that support recruitment, advancement, and institutional reputation while ensuring efficient use of time, talent, and resources.

Strategic Focus

Our team prioritizes photography and video projects that:

  • Tell a compelling story that aligns with College priorities
  • Have multi-channel use beyond a single department’s social post
  • Support recruitment, fundraising, or strategic campaigns
  • Showcase our differentiators (e.g., 91重口 Experiential Edge, Gulls With Grit, global learning, etc.)
  • Elevate student, faculty, and alumni voices in meaningful ways
  • Support high-impact institutional events or milestones

What We Cover

We accept photo and video requests that meet one or more of the following:

  • Strategic marketing campaigns (e.g., Gulls With Grit, Spread Your Wings, Open House)
  • Visuals with strong recruitment value (student life, classroom scenes, tours, campus beauty)
  • High-visibility events (Convocation, Commencement, Homecoming & Reunion, Presidential Speaker Series)
  • Newsworthy moments (award wins, major announcements, groundbreaking events, athletic championships)
  • Impactful student stories (internships, global learning, academic success, personal growth)
  • Donor-facing needs (stewardship, donor profiles, campaign milestones)

What We Don’t Cover

To ensure we can deliver high-quality, high-impact work, we are generally unable to accommodate:

  • Routine club or department events without broader institutional relevance or storytelling value
  • Photos for internal use only or single-use social posts
  • Event documentation without story potential
  • Requests with no clear purpose, story, or audience
  • Last-minute or unscoped requests without adequate planning or strategy
  • Regular athletic coverage outside of championships and special events

We encourage departments to use their own cameras/phones for coverage of casual events and social sharing.

Alternatives & Support

While we can’t photograph or film every event, we’re happy to support your team in other ways:

  • Recommendations for freelance and/or student photographers and videographers (for budgeted needs)
  • Guidance on how to take and submit high-quality photos for possible use

How to Submit a Request

All photo requests should be submitted at least two weeks in advance via this form. Please submit your video request at least six weeks in advance via ccmrequests@endicott.edu.

All requests should include:

  • The strategic goal of the photo/video
  • Intended use (platforms/audiences)
  • Desired deliverables (photos, video length, etc.)
  • A short description of the story or value

We review all submissions weekly and prioritize based on impact and alignment with our strategy.
